Stratford High Student Dies After Fall From Golf Cart

A high school golfer is dead after falling off of a golf cart.

14-year-old Blaine Killian died Tuesday following the accident, which occurred around 6 p.m. Monday. Jerry Birdsong, Stratford ISD superintendent said that the team does not use golf carts during their class practice, and it’s believed that Killian’s injury took place following a practice session.

Killian suffered a fractured skull after slipping off the cart at the golf course where the team practices.

Funeral services for Killian are scheduled for Saturday. Stratford is about 80 miles north of Amarillo.
