With Texas Governor Greg Abbott's executive Stay-At-Home order having expired, the Stars and Stripes Theater in Lubbock is opening to the public Friday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a few changes to the drive-in experience, though. Stars and Stripes will keep their 50's cafe closed for the time being, but when they do reopen the cafe, groups inside will be limited to 2 people.

They are asking guests to wear face masks and refrain from using their public restrooms, too. The playground will also be closed and the theater is only showing single features instead of two films back-to-back.

When guests arrive, they will be asked to park at least one space away from other vehicles. Stars and Stripes is currently offering a Welcome Back ticket special for $6 per person. Kids 3 and under get in free. To buy your tickets online, visit this link.
