Shooting Suspect Arrested in Plainview
A Plainview man remains in custody after shooting two people last week.
On Sunday, July 20, Hale County Officers responded to calls of a shooting north of Plainview. When officer arrived on the scene, two victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds.
48-year-old Jerry Mata and 43-year-old Lorenzo Ramirez both of Plainview were transported to an unidentified Lubbock hospital with non life-threatening injuries.There is no word yet on how Mata and Ramirez became involved in the altercation.
Plainview Police arrested 29-year-old Luis Aguirre Luna Jr. of Plainview a short time later. Luna is currently being held in the Hale County Correction Center.
The Hale County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers are currently conducting investigations into the shootings.
