Repairs to a water resource for Lubbock should be completed by Monday.

The Bailey County Wellfield has not been working at full capacity since wildfires damaged its power supply late last month. It’s taken workers longer than usual to repair the damaged lines because of their isolation.

Lubbock ran the risk of going into stage two drought limits when power to the well field failed. The city saw a 10% drop in water capacity during the outages. The city has been in stage one drought limitations for nearly six years.
