Portions of Marsha Sharp Freeway Closed by Lubbock Police

Monday morning, at around 5:30 a.m., Lubbock Police closed the east and westbound lanes of the Marsha Sharp Freeway near Loop 289.

They also closed the flyover that connects the westbound lanes of Marsha Sharp with South Loop 289.

It’s unclear exactly why those lanes were closed. By 7:30 a.m., the LPD informed the public that the lanes had been reopened.
