Police Close an I-27 Access Road Due to a Major Accident

Monday morning, Lubbock police closed a northbound access road for I-27, between 22^nd Street and 23^rd Street, due to a major two-vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Avenue E.

The northbound exit ramp of I-27 to 19^th Street has been kept open for detours. The closure is expected to last a few hours while police investigate the scene of the accident. They’re asking the public to avoid the area if possible.
