One Person Killed in Vehicle Accident in Northwest Lubbock

Thursday morning, Lubbock Police closed down an area of 4th Street near Toledo Avenue to investigate the scene of a deadly crash.

KAMC News reports that the one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:12 a.m. in the 4700 block of 4th Street. KAMC News also reports that at least one person was killed in the accident when their car, traveling westbound, struck a utility pole head-on.

At 3:30 a.m., police closed both westbound and eastbound lanes of 4th Street near Toledo Avenue but have since left the scene and reopened the lanes to traffic.
