One Person is Hit By a Car and Severely Injured

One person is in the hospital after being hit by a car in the 2600 block of 50th Street Tuesday morning, just after midnight.

KAMC News reports that one person suffered serious injuries, but that police have not yet given any additional information regarding the car or the driver.

The pedestrian who was hit may have been commuting on a bicycle at the time of the accident. Police temporarily closed down the eastbound lanes of 50th street to investigate the scene but reopened those lanes by 5:00 a.m.
