Lubbock Fire crews arrived at the scene at around 7:10 a.m. Monday morning. The home and garage were fully engulfed in flames, according to reports.

"The initial crew that was here noticed a lot of flames, a lot of smoke around the front of the house. Upon making entry around to the back to check on it, they did find the victim in the back," Lubbock Fire and Rescue's Kevin Ivy told

The flames were contained to just the one house, but the surrounding homes had minor damage.
