New Seafood Restaurant Aims to Open in Lubbock Soon

We have an update on a new seafood restaurant coming to Lubbock, and I can't wait.

As a fan of seafood, I was excited to hear the news this summer that a new place was coming to Lubbock. And soon, it appears as though Lubbock will be one of the newest locations of The Catch.

The Texas and Louisiana-style seafood casual dining restaurant will be located in the old Taco Bell building near 82nd and Slide. The Catch has locations throughout Texas and Oklahoma and, according to a new Facebook post, they're hoping they can open their first location in Lubbock in 45-60 days.

On their Facebook page, The Catch boasts of a pretty extensive menu of seafood that can be ordered fried or grilled. The Catch will offer seafood options like catfish, shrimp, crawfish, and oysters. Also on the menu? Fried gator, boiled shrimp and crab, and more. I'm hungry just thinking about it.

For those who're concerned about dining in, you're in luck. The Catch will have a drive-thru, and their food can be delivered via DoorDash.

You can keep up with the progress of The Catch through their Facebook page, but just realize that you will probably get hungry browsing their page.

It's good to see a new restaurant (of any type) open in Lubbock. During the coronavirus pandemic, so many places have closed, leaving people out of work and leaving others looking for a new place to eat. Opening during a pandemic can't be easy, but it looks like The Catch has it down; they're also opening a location in Houston soon.
