Motorcycle Crashed Into Jeep While Racing on U.S. Highway 84
In Littlefield, police say a motorcycle collided with another vehicle Tuesday on U.S. Highway 84 while driving at more than 100 miles per hour.
KAMC News reports that the accident occurred after the driver of the motorcycle, 60-year-old Frank Espinoza, lost control at a high rate of speed and struck a nearby jeep driving on the same road.
The jeep went into a rollover and Espinoza was ejected from the motorcycle. Espinoza survived the accident but suffered a broken leg. A couple inside the Jeep were relatively uninjured.
Espinoza was taken to UMC for treatment and then released into the custody of police. 26-year-old Franklin Rusk, who was racing a Mercedes alongside Espinoza, has also been arrested and booked into the Lamb County Jail.
