George Straight Concerts Bring More Police to Lubbock

It's going to be a big weekend in Lubbock as George Strait is set to perform two shows in at Jones AT&T Stadium. And if you haven't noticed yet, there will be extra police unites in and around the Lubbock area throughout the weekend

According to KAMC, the Texas Department of Public Safety has already increased their numbers in Lubbock. Their goal? To keep everyone safe.

DPS officials confirmed an increased presence for the upcoming George Strait concerts on Friday and Saturday.
DPS Sergeant Adrian Briseno stated, “…We want everyone to have fun, but most importantly to be safe.”

Good for Texas sending some extra help to Lubbock this weekend. Hopefully, it won't be needed, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
