Joshua Buckley and Amber Henderson joined Lubbock's First News Tuesday (April 14) to talk attractions at Moody Gardens Galveston Island.

Amber is a rainforest biologist at Moody Gardens so she spends a majority of her time working in the rainforest pyramid working with those animals. Amber is originally from West Texas and knew as a child that she wanted to work with animals. "I would run around in the deserts barefoot catching horny toads and bring them home to my dad," Henderson said. "I realized from that point that I wanted to work with animals and it pretty much never faltered from that."

One of the new attractions at Moody Gardens is SpongeBob SubPants Adventure. 'Patrick Star' will be the Captain on this adventure and will be able to see and interact with everyone. He will be able to identify and talk to people and even choose volunteers to push buttons and control the sub. "We pride ourselves in being an educational tourist destination," said Buckley. "You know the whole family is going but they're learning as well."
