A Lubbock Coin Dealer’s attorney is working to return hundreds of thousands of dollars to customers who claim the owner owes them money. In fact, Ed Chauncey’s Rare Coins and Currency allegedly owes almost half a million dollars to various customers for their rare coin trade-ins.

The building has been under a 24 hour a day guard by sheriff’s deputies since a court ruling allowed them to take over the store earlier this year in an effort to keep Chauncey from selling any of the merchandise. Yesterday, a new approach was taken as deputies took inventory and removed the merchandise to eventually be claimed under law by the owners.Chauncey’s attorney Keith Thompson said it’s a good start to getting money back to the less than satisfied customers.
