Imagine the sore feet and bad backs that result from perusing nearly 150,000 square feet of retail. And you know what? I don't think I'd complain since a store of that size just means all the more variety!

Massive Texas Target

Thanks to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, we have some solid details of this huge project coming to Liberty Hill, just north of Austin.

Target will be hitting the dirt with construction starting next year, but this new building is estimated to cost a whopping $22,000,000. This "new ground up Target store" will also consist of 148,356 square feet... that's larger than Central Texas' biggest HEB!

My San Antonio reports that this new Target will actually be a part of a new shopping complex in Liberty Hill, and will exceed the typical Target stores in size which hover around 125,000 square feet.

Target's Target Construction Date

The giant retail store is set to begin construction in Liberty Hill, TX as early as July 2025. The filing shows a desired completion date of June 2026.

The new shopping complex of which this new Target will be a part was first filed back in June of this year. It entails site development with large and medium retail stores, shared parking and "water quality ponds."

This new complex comes with a slightly smaller $9,000,000 price tag, and construction is set to last from January 2025 through May 2026.

I'm not gonna lie to ya, Target is one of those stores where I would dream of renting the entire building for myself for one giant shopping spree... once I win the lottery, that is.
