
Millions of Eggs Sold In Texas and Other States Recalled Due to Salmonella Warning
You may want to check your refrigerator if you have purchased eggs anytime lately. More than 6 million eggs are being recalled across Texas and several other states due to the fear of salmonella contamination according to YahooNews. According to the Food and Drug Administration, this is the third major egg recall this year.
Texas-Based Egg Company Issues Recall
According to the report, Texas-based Kenz Henz voluntarily recalled 12-count cartons of it's Large Pasture Raised eggs, grade AA, on October 16. There were concerns that the eggs may have been contaminated. The cartons were sent to stores across Houston with best-by dates of October 11 to October 14 and October 16 to October 17. So far, no illnesses have been reported.

But that's just one of the recalls. The Black Sheep Egg company issued a recall on 12 and 18 count Free Range Large Grade A Brown Eggs. Those eggs were sent to wholesalers and retailers in several states including Texas. These eggs were sent out July 9 and September 17th. Packaging may not say Black Sheep Egg Company. In August, Country Eggs, LLC issued a recall as well.
What To Do If You Think You May Have Recalled Eggs
First, call the store you bought them from to see if they sold any of the recalled eggs. If they did, you can simply return the eggs. YahooNews also says if you are unsure where the eggs came from, play it safe and buy new eggs.
