Many Still Without Power, Some Lubbock Streets Still Blocked After Storm

A number of Lubbock streets remain blocked Friday morning in the aftermath of Wednesday evening’s storm.

According to the City of Lubbock, the streets that remain blocked as of 11 a.m. are:

• Chicago and Harvard
• 1^st Street and Avenue U
• University and Stanford
• Clovis Highway and 1^st Street
• Clovis Highway and Sherman

The City says that crews are working to reopen these streets as soon as possible.

Also, according to Lubbock Power and Light, more than 1,300 people are still without power in Lubbock as of 4 p.m. Friday. Crews are out in the city working to repair the outages. LP&L has issued a statement on the outages.
