Man Trapped in Grain Silo Freed, Taken to Hospital

A man is in a Lubbock hospital after being trapped in a grain silo Monday afternoon.

The person was found stuck neck deep inside of a grain silo at Anderson Grain Corporation, between Ropesville and Wolfforth.

Due to the pressure of the grain, the man could not simply be pulled from the silo, but rather had to be boxed in, and the grain around him scooped out.

The victim was freed from the silo just before 4 p.m. and was taken to an area hospital for observation. No word yet on his identity.
