Man Arrested in Terry County for Murder of his Wife

In Terry County, a man is in jail for murdering his wife. 58-year-old Lisa Blankenship was found dead Monday evening at a home in the 2700 block of County Road 260, east of Meadow, Texas.

Her husband, 56-year-old Kurt Blankenship, was arrested without incident at the scene of the murder and booked into the Terry County Jail at around 1:30 a.m. A Terry County Sheriff says an argument ended in bloodshed when Blankenship shot his wife once and killed her.

KAMC News reports that Lisa Blankenship made a call to 911 just before her death at 6:00 p.m. Kurt Blankenship is being held on a $1 million dollar bond.
