There is a threat of severe weather for Lubbock and the surrounding areas this evening and tonight. According to the National Weather Service, Lubbock and surrounding areas are already under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. That could change into a Severe Thunderstorm Warning soon as conditions develop.
So what should we expect in Lubbock?
According to the National Weather Service, Lubbock is in the middle of the targeted area that shows up to a 15% chance of hail that could be the size of a baseball. The National Weather Service is also warning that wind gusts could go as high as 70mph. And then there is the possibility of rain.
