On Wednesday, August 18th, Lubbock's Alamo Drafthouse took to Twitter to announce that they will be reopening on Thursday, September 2nd.

The Lubbock location, 120 West Loop 289, originally wasn't going to reopen until September 3rd, but the social media post confirmed the new date.

On top of announcing their reopening, Alamo said that tickets for upcoming shows were already on sale. New releases like Candyman, Shang-Chi and other classics like Moonstruck, Coming To America and a Mean Girls Movie Party have tickets available right now.

Lubbock's Alamo Drafthouse location is also now hiring servers, a kitchen team, bartenders and box office concierges. On their website, it's said that while experience is nice, the only prerequisite for finding employment with Alamo Drafthouse is a genuine enthusiasm for movies, people and cinema.

On their website, Alamo lists their mission as "for every guest to have an awesome experience and is excited to come back."
