A Lubbock woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder. The murder took place in 2022 in central Lubbock.

Lubbock Woman Pleads Guilty to Murder

20-year-old Bailey Forrest pleaded guilty on Friday to murder. The plea was in connection to the death of Robert Stewart who was killed in his vehicle back in September of 2022 according to KAMC. His body was found in the backseat of his vehicle in the 2600 block of 45th Street on September 27, 2022.

According to KAMC, court records show evidence of blunt force trauma. Court records also indicated that his body looked "cleaned". Fingerprints from Stewart's vehicle match those of Bailey Forrest. Investigators also searched a home and found large areas of blood that someone tried to clean according to KAMC. There was also evidence of an area that had been burned including a wooden club.

Forrest will receive 1,051 days of credit for time spent in jail.

Lubbock Police also arrested Steven Salazar who is now 19 and his trial is pending. A 16 year boy and girl. Due to their ages, their names were not revealed.
