Lubbock Woman Killed in Early Morning Crash

One woman was killed in a rollover crash this morning (Friday) at 82nd Street and Interstate 27.

Lubbock Police responded to reports of a single vehicle involved in the rollover at a little after 3 a.m.

A woman was located when officers arrived on scene. She had been thrown from a car on the southbound access road north of 82nd Street. 23-year-old Maci Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through an investigation, it appears that the car was traveling southbound in the 7800 block of I-27, hit a guardrail and then rolled. The car came to a stop in the concrete median between I-27 and the southbound I-27 access road.

Hamilton was the only person in the car.
