KAMC reports that the scammer is requesting home visits and even threatening to put down dogs.

According to Ruggles, the scammer has been asking for home inspections, income information and pet deposits, even threatening that animals will be euthanized if people don’t pay to adopt them immediately.

“None of that is stuff Lubbock Animal Services practices,” Ruggles said.

Don't get scammed. Lubbock Animal Services never charges more than $30 for a pet adoption. If you feel like you are getting scammed, call Lubbock Animal Services yourself.
