Here's what you need to know about the road work on I-27 in central Lubbock. The exit ramp onto the I-27 frontage road to 50th Street will be closed during construction until at least 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Those expecting to travel along this route must take an alternate exit to 66th Street or further detours.
Other Delays in Lubbock
This latest construction joins the existing projects in the Hub City. The large project on FM 1585 between Frankford Ave and Avenue P is still set to continue until October 30, 2026.
Motorists traveling east and westbound along this route should expect delays and should also watch out for road personnel directing traffic
Finally, construction in downtown Lubbock on I-27 near E Broadway is closing alternating northbound lanes through April 30. Those planning on visiting the Depot District or the courthouse are advised to take alternate routes.
