There are a plethora of events occurring at Lubbock public libraries next week.

Singer/songwriter Andy Mason will perform songs for the kids at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 21, at the Mahon Library in downtown Lubbock. Mason will also perform on Tuesday, July 22, at 3 p.m. at the Groves Branch. Tickets will be required for the second performance. Tickets are first come first served and will be available at the Groves Branch on the day of the show.

Also on Tuesday at the Groves Branch there will be a knitting class that will teach the basics of continental style knitting. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22.

Children in grades 6-12 are invited to the Patterson Branch library to attend or perform in a talent show. The talent show will take place on Wednesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. Register by July 21 to compete. Kids in grades 6-12 are also invited to the Patterson Branch the following day to play Nintendo Wii games starting at 4:30 p.m.

Finally kids in grades 6-12 are invited to go out to Mahon Library on Thursday, July 24, to compete in a catapult building competition. The event will be held at 2 p.m.
