Lubbock Police Responds to Early Morning Shooting
At around 12:15 a.m. Friday morning, Lubbock Police Officers responded to 1610 23rd Street following reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers searched the area and located two victims who had been shot at 1514 23rd Street. One victim, who was suffering from serious injuries, was transported to UMC by ambulance, where the victim was later pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Michael Dorado.
The second victim, suffering moderate injuries, was transported to Covenant by ambulance.
Officers have not located a suspect at this time and the investigation remains on-going.
