Officers arrived at the scene in the 1700 block of east 24th Street, where they found one person injured in a vehicle accident. The victim was quickly taken to Covenant Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

The victim was reportedly driving a passenger vehicle when it was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of 24th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
