Update: Lubbock police responded to a shooting reported in the 3500 block of East Baylor Street Tuesday (June 11) morning.

Officers arrived at around 2:30 a.m to search for a suspect but were unable to locate anyone. The alleged shooting was reported by three men who had driven to a local hospital after the shooting took place.

They told police that someone had approached their parked car in the 3500 block of East Baylor Street and fired multiple shots. The LPD says two of the men suffered moderate to severe injuries.


 

Original Story: Tuesday morning, someone was reportedly taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries related to a local shooting.

The alleged victim in the shooting was taken to UMC at around 2:30 a.m. and police say they are investigating what happened.

As of Tuesday morning, investigators have not said where the shooting took place. They have also not named any suspects or made any arrests.

The current condition of the alleged shooting victim is not clear, but their injuries were not reported to be life-threatening.
