Lubbock Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Nightclub Shooting
On Sunday, Lubbock Police arrested the primary suspect in a deadly shooting.
According to the Police Department, at around 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, shots were reported at the Hitching Post Club located at 1902 East Broadway.
Multiple officers responded to the scene and found a man identified as 28-year-old Kirvyn Alexander. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit found that Alexander got into an altercation inside the club prior to being shot and identified 38-year-old Steven Sanders as the primary suspect.
Sanders was arrested and charged with murder on Sunday. But jail records also show that he was released from jail Monday morning.
