Lubbock Parks And Rec Adds New Docks To The Canyon Lake System
The Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Spring this week along with warming temperatures. Knowing that this is the time of year when citizens in Lubbock like to get out of the house and enjoy the Canyon Lakes System.
This week, the Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department took to Facebook to show off two new features that visitors will possibly want to use the next time they travel to the Canyon Lakes.
Fans of fishing will be happy to hear about the new fishing dock at Mackenzie Park Lake. It's a good size dock that should accommodate a good number of people and it comes with lights and a bench to sit. The second addition to the Canyon Lakes System can be found at Llano Estacado Lake #2. That's where a new kayak launch dock has been installed.
Both docks are welcomed additions to the great Canyon Lakes System that will help attract more people to the area and to the outdoors in general. And of course, there is no cost to using any of the docks or kayak launch points.
So this Spring, get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors in Lubbock and enjoy our Canyon Lakes System.
