A Lubbock night club could lose its liquor license following an investigation into a fatal crash. On August 14th 31-year-old Dr. David Gonzalez-Gibler and two teens consumed alcohol at Klusoz Martini Lounge in downtown Lubbock.

Gonzales-Gibler then proceeded to drive with the two girls in the vehicle, and flipped over the guardrail on Loop 289 near North Quaker Avenue. During the crash the two teens were thrown from the car. 19-year-old Samantha Martinez died in the crash and 18 year old Dawnyelle Rios was seriously injured. Gonzalez-Gibler had a high blood-alcohol content of .14, twice the legal limit. Rios also had a high blood-alcohol rate.

The nightclub Klusoz and two employees now face two counts of permitting a minor to consume alcohol and one count of selling alcohol to an intoxicated person. It could take up to two years for the hearing to be held. Officials say if Klusoz is found guilty, they will lose their liquor license.
