Lubbock has been named as one of the most artery-clogging cities in America, according to one publication.

Prevention Magazine’s Healthy Living has ranked Lubbock third in their list of the “Most Artery-Clogging Cities in America,” listing some of the U.S. cities with the highest rates of obesity and heart disease.

The editors of Prevention stated on their blog at Yahoo's Shine that 32 percent of Lubbock residents are obese “in no small part due to the preponderance of artery-clogging steakhouses and barbecue joints.”

Dallas was placed 5th in the article, citing a statistic that its residents eat fast food 20.7 times per month on average. Tulsa, Oklahoma was placed 7th, due to the city’s “low walkability.”

Fort Wayne, Indiana ranked 2nd, and Detroit, Michigan heads up the list with a 33 percent obesity rate.
