A notable Lubbock musician has died.

The body of 60-year-old Danny Charles Earnest was found a short distance away from his vehicle on the southern edge of Seymour, Texas on Thursday morning, according to KAMC News.

Earnest was driving back to Lubbock from Plano on September 21st and had been reported missing.

The Baylor County Sheriff’s Office says that Earnest died of natural causes.

Earnest was the front man for “Dangerous Dan and the Blues Deacons,” but had reduced the band’s performances due to health reasons.
