More Hot Weather For Lubbock But Rain And Cooler Temperatures Are On The Way

As many of prepare for the Memorial Day weekend, our attention will turn to what the weather is going to be like going into the weekend and for Memorial Day. And for those in Lubbock and in our area, it's a mix of hot weather, rain, and cooler temperatures.

More Hot Weather For Lubbock

Summer hasn't even begun and we've already had some pretty hot high temperatures. And those will continue the next two days as we flirt with the triple digits. Friday's high is expected to hit 98 while Saturday is supposed to be 99 degrees.

But on Sunday, we could see some changes. As of right now there is a chance of rain in the forecast for Sunday afternoon or evening. The high on Sunday is also supposed to be around 88 degrees.

Memorial Day and After in Lubbock

As of this writing, if you want cooler temperatures for a cookout, Memorial Day is going to be your day. High temperatures on Monday are supposed to be around 82. High temperatures will remain in the low 80's through at least next Saturday according to the current forecast from the National Weather Service.

It also looks like we will have a decent shot at some rain next week, which we desperately need.
