Lubbock Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Enticement of a Minor
A Lubbock man was sentenced after being arrested for enticing a minor in 2016.
Fifty-five-year-old Danny Ray Caudill was sentenced Friday (Jan. 20) to 10 years in federal prison. Caudill pleaded guilty in September 2016 to one count of attempted enticement of a minor.
According to the Department of Justice, from June 26 through July 20 Caudill used Facebook messaging to communicate with a person who he he thought was a 14-year-old girl, but was actually an undercover officer.
Through these messages, he knowingly attempted to entice this person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity with him.
On July 20, Caudill made arrangements to meet with the person he believed was the minor girl, and he was arrested when he arrived at the agreed-upon location.
