This is one of those stories where where crime and instant karma come together.

This past Friday, a Lubbock man attempted to break into St. Elizabeth’s University Catholic Church on Broadway near Avenue X according to the Lubbock Police Department. But he didn't get very far.

instead of robbing the church, the building fought back. According to KAMC, the man who attempted to rob the church suffered cuts from the window he tried to break through.

LPD received a call just before 4:00 a.m. about an alarm at the church. Initially, police believed the case to have been a stabbing, but later reported the man was cut by the glass during the break-in.

The injuries and motives of the man were unknown at the time, LPD said. They later said he was taken into custody.

I bet the person who attempted to break-in won't be trying that again. Or at least they shouldn't. Instead, look at what happened as a sign.
