Lubbock Isn’t Done With Cold Temperatures Yet
Spring is almost here in Lubbock, but as any long time resident of Lubbock knows, winter temperatures and weather can stick around and pop back up all the way until Easter.
And that is exactly what Lubbock will experience this weekend, a dash of winter, at least temperature wise. Sure the trees are seeing new growth and yards are even starting to green up, but this weekend it won't feel like Spring. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to plunge behind a cold front that swept into town on Thursday.
Highs on Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the low 50's and Lubbock will see high temperatures not get out of the 40's on both Sunday and Monday. Low temperatures are supposed to be in the upper 20's
Fortunately there is no snow in the forecast though we could still use some rain out this way. The other piece of good news? It will get warmer next week.
