
Lubbock Detectives Investigate Deadly Late Night Shooting
One man is reported dead by Lubbock Police in a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in North Lubbock.
Wednesday night, detectives with the Lubbock Police Department were investigating the scene of a shooting in the 2800 block of Baylor Street, near North Detroit Avenue.
KAMC News reports that police first responded to reports of shots being fired just after 7:00 p.m. and found two male victims at the scene. 36-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez was found with serious injuries and taken to University Medical Center where he died a short time later.
Police say another man, who has not been identified, had moderate injuries but no gunshot wounds. Police also say they may be looking for a single male suspect who got into an altercation with the two victims.
Police are looking for a Hispanic male driving a green SUV, last seen wearing a black shirt and tan pants. Anyone with information can call the crime line at 741-1000.
