The candidate filing period for the 2022 Texas Primary Elections starts this Saturday, November 13 and will conclude on Monday, December 13, 2021.

Thursday evening, the Lubbock County Republican Party announced filing details for potential candidates who are Republicans residing in Lubbock County.

The Lubbock County Republican Party Headquarters will be open on Saturday, November 13 from 10am-6pm for candidates to file to candidate application. Potential candidates can also pick up blank applications on Saturday, November 13 at LCRP headquarters.

Lubbock County Republican Party Chairman Cole Shooter also notes that some offices will require the payment of a filing fee, or the turning in of petition signatures in lieu of a the payment of a filing fee. More information concerning that process can be found on this link on the Texas Secretary of State website.

Following this upcoming weekend, the Lubbock County Republican Party Headquarters will be open two hours per day, six days a week, during the reminder of the filing period. The LCRP headquarters operating hours will be: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 11am-1pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm, and  finally Saturdays 12pm-2pm. (Closed on Sundays)

The headquarters will be closed on November 24-26 for Thanksgiving.

The candidate filing deadline is 6pm on December 13.
