Lubbock County Man Sentenced After Children Die Due to Fire

A man out of Lubbock County, 29-year-old Wesley Lance Harvey, was sentenced to 18 months after he admitted to leaving his children unattended at a home that burned down.

KAMC News reports that in November of 2018, deputies responded to the 14000 block of CR 1430. 4 children, all under the age of 8, were dead.

Harvey had left the children alone for about an hour, and court records say there was a space heater in the home that was listed as a possible cause of the fire.
