Lubbock-Cooper High School is hosting their annual canned food drive “Halloween for Hunger”.

The event, being held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th, will benefit the South Plains Food Bank.

Students will collect non-perishable food items from the porches of homes in 15 Lubbock neighborhoods.

See if your neighborhood is included on the list:

High Country
Highland Oaks
Holy Spirit Catholic Church neighborhood
Indiana South
Kemper Estates
LakeRidge South
Orchard Park
Saddle Club
South Haven
Stone Gate
Stonebrook
Sun Ridge

Residents of the selected neighborhoods are asked to leave non-perishable food items in a bag on their front porches. Please exclude ramen noodles and glass jars.

Due to time constraints, students are limited to picking up in the selected neighborhoods and will not be able to pick up from apartment complexes.

Residents of neighborhoods not selected who still wish to donate can deliver donations to the Lubbock-Cooper High School front office, located at 16302, Loop 493.
