Lubbock City Offices Will Be Closed on Labor Day, Trash Collection Rescheduled
Labor Day is coming up this Monday, and that means two things: a three-day weekend for many local workers, and city offices closing to observe the holiday.
There will be no trash collection on Monday, September 5. Monday's normally scheduled collection will be moved to Tuesday, and Tuesday's route will be moved to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday schedules will not change or be affected.
As for recycling, drop-off locations and Citizen Convenience Stations, located at 1631 84th Street, 208 Municipal Drive, 7308 Milwaukee Avenue and 4307 Adrian Street, will also be closed on Monday. The West Texas Region Disposal Factory and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will also be unavailable.
All Lubbock City libraries in town will have closed doors, and both the Buddy Holly Center and the Silent Wings Museums will be closed for Labor Day.
