Lubbock Children Could Receive Free Dental Care on Sharing Smiles Day
Over a third of people, children included, who need dental care simply cannot afford it and do not receive it. Area children could receive free dental care as part of Kool Smiles' annual Sharing Smiles Day on Sunday, May 21.
According to their press release:
Kool Smiles dentists will provide free dental care to area children up to 18 years of age from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 21 at the following office location:
Kool Smiles Lubbock-Overton, 1923 Marsha Sharp Fwy., Lubbock, TX 79415, 806-744-6581.
Available treatments will include dental exams, limited emergency care, extractions, and restorative care.
A limited number of appointments are available. Parents are strongly encouraged to register their children on the Kool Smiles website in advance of the event: www.mykoolsmiles.com/sharingsmiles. We will try our best to see all patients but treatment is on a first-come, first-served basis and pre-registration does not guarantee we will be able to treat you. Treatment offerings will be determined by the dentist.
If you are unable to attend Sharing Smiles Day or they cannot get to your child, you can find out how to get dental care based on your income by checking out this article.
