
City of Lubbock to Host Back-2-School Bash
While it may feel like we are in the middle of summer, the new school year isn't far away. And with the school year fast approaching, the City of Lubbock in partnership with Texas Tech University will host a Back-2-School Bash at the end of July.
City Wide Back-2-School Bash in Lubbock
On Wednesday, July 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the City of Lubbock will host the Back-2-School-Bash at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
The Back-2-School Bash is a free, family-friendly event that will provide over 5,000 K-12 students with clear backpacks and school supplies. The backpacks will be given out on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last according to a press release from the City of Lubbock.
Free Haircuts and More!
The Back-2-School Bash will also feature free haircuts for kids and a community resource fair where Lubbock families can meet local organizations that that help support students in and around Lubbock.
Citibus will be offering free rides for families all summer for families that sign up for the Lubbock Public Library's Summer Reading Program on the READsquared app. You must register by July 30.
