The City of Lubbock will be hosting several public meetings to discuss the current conditions of Arnett Benson Neighborhood, and they're asking for your input on public safety, commercial areas, and more.

Where is Arnett Benson Neighborhood?

Located at the northern end of the loop, Arnett Benson is a neighborhood nestled between Texas Tech Parkway and Jackson Mahon with an average house price of $95,037. This puts it in the top 5% of cheapest neighborhoods in Texas.

For renters, average monthly bills hover around $1,234. Also, Arnett Benson is about 3.2 miles (8 minutes by car) from the Lubbock County Courthouse and just 2 miles from Texas Tech University.

Public Meetings for Arnett Benson Neighborhood

According to the new and improved City of Lubbock website, the Planning Department will be hosting a total of four public meetings to discuss the upcoming Arnett Benson Neighborhood Plan. These in-depth discussions are designed to spark conversation about the current conditions of the area and if they can be improved.

The first meeting discussing neighborhood assets will take place at Maggie Trejo Supercenter on 3200 Amherst St, Lubbock, TX 79415 on Thursday, April 23 for an hour and a half beginning at 6 p.m.

The other three meetings, all at the same time and same location, include the following:

Thursday, May 7 discussing codes, issues, and public safety
Thursday, May 21 discussing commercial areas and residential development
Thursday, June 4 discussing other neighborhood topics
