Need to sharpen up your skills on the road?

Then The Lubbock Police Department is for you!

They are accepting applications for its first Civilian Motorcycle Academy. The event will be held on Saturday, June 2nd from 8 am to 2 pm at the Lubbock Police Academy.

From The Lubbock Police Department:

Fifteen applicants will be chosen for the first academy and must meet the following requirements:

  • Own a motorcycle
  • Have a Class M license
  • Previously passed a basic motorcycle safety course
  • Have no pending criminal charges or convictions of a Class B or higher offense
  • Must bring their own gear including a helmet and riding boots
