Kelly’s Top 5 United/Market Street ‘Ready2Heat’ Meals You Must Try
Getting to work between 4:30-5 a.m. usually means that by the time 9 a.m. rolls around, it's lunchtime.
Wes and I enjoy escaping the building at least once a week as part of our routine in order to stretch our legs...and our bellies.
Finding a healthy lunch during breakfast hours is a challenge at times, which is why we typically go to our nearest United/Market Street. The buffet selection satiates even the pickiest of eaters, so it's a no-brainer when it comes to brunch for The RockShow kids.
By the end of the day, however, I’m stuffed, exhausted and totally brain drained so the thought of making supper is one that never really sits well and ends up creating some anxiety since I know I’ll likely end up feeding myself and my kids something from a fast food restaurant instead of a healthier home-made meal… But not anymore!
United Market Street recently began offering 'Ready Meals.' My favorite is the 'Ready2Heat' variety that you can simply grab and go, pop into the oven or microwave and serve. Very little thought and zero preparation can end with everyone in the house sitting fat and happy with bellies full of freshly made healthy grub. All that’s left are the dishes used to eat. Easy-peasy!
So I thought I’d share with you five of my favorite heat and eat meals from United/Market Street:
On a cold day, this is great to pop in the microwave and have something quick to heat up your taste buds and warm your belly.
Heat up these bad boys and get some fire in your belly. This low-calorie, low-cost meal is an excellent way to wrap-up a stressful day.
Don't feel like chicken tonight? Why not try the brisket enchiladas with United's oh-so-yummy Jalapeno Cream Sauce? I promise you'll thank me later. In fact, just get both the chicken and the brisket enchiladas to be the super-hero of the family.
Are you starting to sense a trend in my prefered type of food? United knows tex-mex and the best part about this kit is that it comes with everything you would need all in one box. It makes for a great picnic lunch and clean up is a breeze!
A complete meal ready to heat and eat, United Supermarkets makes a masterpiece out of meatloaf. This is perfect for date night, but even better is having left-overs if you're like me and tend to want lunch when everyone else is eating breakfast. I don't feel guilty about eating half for dinner and finishing off the rest after the morning show.
There you have it! Truly, the easiest and fastest way to stretch a buck and to have a party in your tummy is to stop by your neighborhood United Supermarkets store and grab some 'Ready Meals.' I like to grab a few while I'm there so that I always have a selection at home to satisfy just about any craving. Enjoy!
