Feel like going fishing? Saturday, June 1st, might just be the day to go.

On the first Saturday of June each year, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department hosts Free Fishing Day, which means you don't have to have a license to fish.

Any other day of the year, you need a license to go fishing, but not on Saturday. The fishing holiday is at the beginning of National Fishing and Boating week. It's a great time to get the family together and go fishing. It's also a great time to introduce family members and friends to fishing.
