A JetBlue flight from New York's JFK Airport made an emergency landing this morning at Amarillo's Rick Husband International Airport.

The flight, bound for Las Vegas, made the emergency landing after a "medical situation" arose with the plane's captain.

According to ABC News Radio, the captain was made to leave the cockpit once the situation started.  Once forced outside of the cockpit, the captain was seemingly trying to break down the door to get back in. A passenger said the captain was yelling about a bomb onboard, 9/11, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Passengers held down the captain as plane landed.

JetBlue Airways says in a statement that Flight 191 from New York landed in Amarillo at about 10am today.

The airline says an off-duty captain who happened to be aboard the plane went to the flight deck and took over the duties of the ill captain "once on the ground."

JetBlue says the ill captain was taken to a medical facility.
